Martyn Stewart

Born United Kingdom 1955. Working side by side with nature, I got the bug to go into recording first of all with bird songs. I used to record birds from the early age of 13 with a tape recorder unknowingly borrowed from my older brother John. I steadily collected bird and animal sounds from all parts of the country and over a period of over 35 years. I have accumulated well over 50,000 recordings of the highest quality (All recorded by myself). I am frequently asked for recordings of my work and I have contributed to many sources including London and Glasgow zoo exhibitions, BBC radio, NPR Radio, Conservation groups for surveying sounds and various birding reference tapes and compact disks. I work on location, recording nature sounds and I am available for contract work. My extensive library of sounds includes the highly endangered Hawaiian Crow to the incredible mimicry of the Lyrebirds in Australia.
