    Old Photo - need ID

Going through some old pics & came across these . Taken last November in South N.J. in a mostly evergreen forest bordering a saltmarsh as well as a freshwater pond. I'm thinking an immature Pine Warbler.

    Thanks - Greg

    It's not a Pine Warbler.  I think it's a Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Yellow-rumped Warbler - the yellow spots on the flanks (in contrast with belly), is diagnostic.

    Yes, a Yellow rumped warbler.

Thanks folks, I should have known. I had other pictures of a Yellow Rumped taken the same day. Guess the angle on these pics threw me, I thought it was a completely different bird.

    Thanks Again - Greg

Don't feel bad. With that species I've done the same thing many times myself. They can look very different from one to the next, or from different angles.
